Couples Progression Meme with Stefan and Gabe

I don't like putting the mature filter thing on my submissions... but Gabe does say the F word, so MATURE CONTENT IT IS. ;-;

Anyways, HEYA! Apparently, I'm doing a thing where I do a SteGabe meme every year. And if you don't know what SteGabe is, its what I call the relationship between my characters Stefan and Gabe. BUT YOU PROBABLY KNOW THAT ALREADY. I draw them so much wh-why...
These memes are fun for me to do, because I like seeing how differently I drew their interactions. Like in 2012, Gabe was freakishly tall. o___o Wait, that's not an interaction...

ANYWAY, HERE'S A PANEL BY PANEL COMMENTARY OF THIS MEME, BECAUSE THEY'RE MY FOOTNOTES!

1) YES, STEFAN'S MISSING AN EYE... forgive me. It's a bad habit. orz

2) Nice pants, Stefan! Gabe is supposed to be checkin' out Stefan's butt, but if you think it looks more like he's looking at Stefan's front, then I guess that works too.......;;; This event happens 2 years before the current OFAV timeline. Stefan needs to hire a hair and make-up crew for Tomato, so he meets and hires Gabe because why the heck not.

3) This actually happens in OFAV! SPOILERS OH MY GOODNESS!! There's a whole beach episode where the OFAV crew rents a beach house and WOO HOO, VACATION TIME! Anyways, yeah. This happens before Stefan and Gabe are dating, so Stefan promptly freaks out and goes to his room to go to bed. This isn't a scenario where Gabe is trying to seduce Stefan, though; they were having a conversation about something (salaries, I think?), when Stefan smiles at something Gabe says, which makes Gabe think "OH MAN, HE'S HOT AND SMILING--MAYBE HE WANTS ME TO KISS HIM" and impulsively kiss Stefan. (??? THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN TO PEOPLE--) Gabe also feels bad for randomly kissing Stef, 'cause Stef's always touchy about romantic stuff. :V BUT YEAH, THIS WOULD MAKE MORE SENSE IF I DREW IT... probably.
This is also Stefan's first kiss on the lips in 8 years. HOW INTERESTING! Or not, idk.

4) GABE, WATCH YOUR MOUTH GHHHAAA.... Yeah, this happens about a week after panel 2, so this is 2 years before the current OFAV timeline. Gabe and Stef are weird-friends-but-still-friends in OFAV before they're dating, but they used to really get on each other's nerves at first. Oh, and Stefan technically isn't Gabe's boss, but Stefan does have a certain degree of authority over him. :m He also makes sure everyone gets payed.

5) Weird humor, yay............... This happens about a year after the current OFAV timeline, during the winter holidays! 8D
Gabe's mom is a sweet lady, though. :M Gabe's parents warmly welcome Stefan into da family! :V By the way, I thought I'd just remind you that Gabe's parents are Jo's parents, too... I sometimes forget that they're brother and sister, and not just super close friends. .u.;

6) Gabe buys Stefan a ring, too. 8D Gabe actually thought he was going to be the one to propose because Stefan's always seemed skeptical about marriage, BUT THEN. STEFAN PULLS A FAST ONE. YEEAHHH. Idk if I'm using that slang right, but... meh.
Why am I talking so much about Stefan and Gabe, guys... "orz

7) I am unusually pleased with Stefan's legs in that doodle on the right. .___. Oh, the Japanese says something along the lines of, "THEY KISS, TEE HEE!" Pro-Japanese student, desu yo. >B|

8) This is something I've never actually thought about (!!), so it took me a while to come up with something. :V I also had to look up the average time it takes for someone to move in with their boyfriend/girlfriend. According to the internet, 7 months.

9) Stefan's drinking "problem" is a thing that happens in the current OFAV timeline, but I don't know how much I'll actually address it since OFAV's a comedy. GAH, ALCOHOL PROBLEMS. UNORIGINAL. It's actually less about "DON'T DRINK SO MUCH ALCOHOL" and more about "STOP DRINKING TO FORGET YOUR PROBLEMS." Which I guess is basically the same thing.
But yeah, Stefan's not an alcoholic because he's not dependent on alcohol, but he does see it as a form of escapism. IDK, I'LL WRITE/DRAW ABOUT THIS SOME OTHER TIME...

10) Yeah, so this is the day after panel 3. Stefan basically resolves the issue with, "I know you [Gabe] have a crush on me, but want you to be aware that I don't want you to romantic things to me because I don't really care for romance. At the same time, I don't want you to completely change the way you act around me, because I value you as a friend as you  are." (LONG SENTENCES...)

11) 30 year old Stefan is pretty snobby, but 22-year-old Stefan was even snobbier, somehow. .3. Gabe acted basically the same in high school, except he talked back more to adults then than he does now since he's a legal adult himself. I chose these two ages because Stefan and Gabe have actual story plot things at these spots in their life. ...yeah.

12) Stefan is borrowing one of Gabe's shirts so he can "blend in" like a kool kid. :V They don't usually go to concerts together because they know it's not the other's scene, but they still have some fun together going to them I guess. WHY AM I STILL TALKING.

13) The rest of the meme was less romantic than I thought, so I just drew some random thing with them being like they are. :V UNLIKE EVERYTHING ELSE, THERE IS NO SITUATION BACKGROUND TO THIS.

14) It's really weird having a character that'll actually guilt me somewhat about drawing Stefan and Gabe. DESPITE HOW I ALWAYS DRAW NOLAND, he does have a lot of happy moments in his life with the friends he makes as a high school teacher. But he likes to feel sorry for himself since he's over 30 and still not married. And he still has the obvious hots for Stefan.

SO UH...I GUESS THAT'S EVERYTHING! Unlike most memes that I do, I'm not going to scrap this! I worked freakishly hard, yo. >:| This took so long, and I don't know why. Sorry this meme is so text heavy, by the way. I-I just want to be thorough...! But I hope you enjoyed it anyway.
